Meet your Guide

My name is Caden

I’m a lifelong angler and founder of Tight Line Outfitters. I’ve spent years studying Utah’s lakes and perfecting the patterns of trout, tiger muskie, and panfish. My mission is simple: give you the most dialed-in, stress-free, and unforgettable ice fishing trip of your life.

My Story

Fishing has been a lifelong passion of mine. I grew up on the ice, and over the years I’ve fallen in love not just with catching fish, but with the community, the challenge, and the simple peace that comes with being out on a frozen lake. Ice fishing has given me some of my best memories, and now I’m dedicated to helping others experience that same excitement and connection.

For as long as I can remember, people have asked me for advice—where to fish, what gear to use, and how to read the water and the weather. Guiding became the natural next step. I get genuine joy out of teaching someone something I’ve spent years learning myself, especially when they get to feel that rush of catching a fish through the ice for the very first time.

I’m 26 years old, and I’ve been fishing my entire life, with trout being my specialty. Some of my favorite waters to fish on are Schofield, Rockport, and Strawberry, where I’ve learned the patterns, structure, and behavior of the fish through years of trial, error, and dedication.

When you book a trip with me, you’re getting top-tier equipment and the full experience. I provide everything—high-end rods and reels, the best line, insulated tents, heaters, chairs, premium bait setups, and a Garmin LiveScope for next-level underwater visibility. My job is to give you the tools, the knowledge, and the confidence to become a better angler.

My guiding style is simple: I tailor the day to you.
If you want a chill, relaxing day on the ice, we’ll take it slow and enjoy the moment. If you’re after numbers or trophy fish, we’ll stay mobile, analyze the conditions, and work together to dial in the bite.

My goal is that you walk away knowing why the fish behave the way they do—how weather, pressure, structure, depth, and presentation all come together. I want you to leave more confident, more capable, and more excited to get back out on the ice.

I’ve spent countless hours researching patterns, exploring new water, and honing my instincts. I’m confident I can walk onto just about any lake, pick a spot, and find fish—and if they’re not biting, I’ll figure them out. That challenge is what keeps me obsessed, and it’s what makes every guided trip a chance to share what I love most.

If you’re ready to learn, catch fish, and create memories on the ice, I’d love to take you out.
